Tripletail

Atlantic Tripletail (L. surinamensis) is a species of saltwater fish commonly found in tropical areas throughout the Atlantic Ocean. It gets the name tripletail from its dorsal and anal fins being positioned further along its back, giving it the appearance of having three tail fins. Tripletail are a medium-size fish as they can grow up to almost one meter and can weigh up to 40 lbs. Their meat ranges from pink to white and has a sweet flavor with a flaky texture. Our fresh Atlantic tripletail are caught wild in Suriname and are offered whole as well as in skin-on or skinless fillets. Our frozen tripletail come wild from Venezuela and are offered as fillets ranging from 4 oz to 3 lbs. Call for availability.
