Tilapia (Tilapia spp.) are freshwater fish found all over the world, but primarily in Africa and the Middle East. Tilapia are cichlids with a laterally compressed, tall body. Tilapia meat is pink with an extremely mild taste. When cooked, it turns white. Our fresh tilapia come from farms in Ecuador and Costa Rica as fillets, and our frozen tilapia are raised in China.
