Swordfish

Swordfish

Swordfish (X. gladius) is a migratory saltwater fish characterized by its extremely long upper jaw, forming a sword-like bill. Average adult swordfish are around 10 feet long and scaleless. Swordfish meat is pink and cooks to off-white. Swordfish is an oily fish, but does not have fishy taste, instead being comparable to beef. This makes it a popular choice for those who do not typically enjoy seafood. Our swordfish are sold fresh and frozen, with fresh swordfish being offered headed and gutted, while frozen swordfish are offered as steaks or loins. Call for availability.
