Snapper
Snapper (Lutjanus spp.) are saltwater fish found in the southern Atlantic Ocean. The red snapper, pictured above, is characterized by its vibrant red hue and is also considered the king of snapper. Snapper fillets are a light pink in color and cook to white. Snapper has a mild but slightly sweet taste with a firm but flaky texture. While red snapper is the main snapper that we sell, we often bring others in due to availability. These include: B-liner, guacamayo, king, lane, mangrove, pink, queen, silk, yellow, yellow eye, and yellow tail snapper. The taste has little to no difference. All of our snapper are caught wild and sold fresh. Call for availability.
