Pompano (Trachinotus spp.) is a saltwater fish found worldwide. They are small, often only growing to 2 lbs and are characterized by their silver, disc-shaped bodies. Their flesh is white, with a mild, yet delicate and sweet flavor. Our fresh pompano are caught locally in Louisiana and either are sold fresh whole or as fillets. Our frozen pompano are caught in China and are sold with the same options. Call for availability.
