Pollock

Pollock (P. pollachius) is a saltwater fish found throughout the oceans. It is a close relative of cod but lacks the barbels that cod possess. It possesses a distinct curved lateral line running from its gills to its tail. Pollock meat is white and flaky with a similar taste to its relative, cod. It is often used as a cod substitute. Pollock are often caught in trawl nets. Our pollock come wild caught from China and are sold frozen as strips or fillets.
