Atlantic Mackerel (S. scombrus) is a saltwater fish, common in the Atlantic Ocean. It is a schooling fish with an elongated body, possessing wavy black markings on its back. Its fillets take on a grayish-pink tint which turns white when cooked. It is an oily fish, rich in omega-3 and perfect for smoking. Our mackerel are caught off the coast of Canada and are only sold whole frozen. Call for availability.
