King crabs are a family of crabs native to the northern Pacific Ocean. They mainly reside in deep water, usually around 600 feet, but migrate to shallow water to breed. They are characterized by their carapace being covered in large spines, and having a smaller body to leg ratio than most other crabs. King crab meat is tender with a sweet, buttery flavor. It is a delicacy that is only available for a short season every year. Our king crabs are caught wild in Canada and sold frozen as legs. Call for availability.
