Jonah Crab
Jonah crab (C. borealis) is a species of crab native to the east coast of North America. They inhabit a wide range of depths, from intertidal zones to the ocean floor of over 2000 feet. Their diet consists mainly of blue mussels and other small mollusks that they can crack open with their large claws. Jonah crab meat is sweet with a firm yet delicate texture. It is often compared to dungeness crab. Our jonah crabs are wild caught in the U.S. and are sold frozen whole, in clusters, or only claws, which come pre-scored. Call for availability.
