Scallops (P. magellanicus) is a type of bivalve mollusk which is sought-after for its rich, buttery flavor. Scallops can be found throughout the world. They can be sold in two different ways: wet or dry. Wet scallops have undergone treatment which increases their weight by absorbing water. This also causes the scallops to become dry and tough when cooked. We only sell dry scallops, or scallops that have not been treated. Our scallops come farmed or fresh from the U.S., the Philippines, and China. They can be bought in gallons fresh or frozen. Call for availability.
