Oysters
Oysters are a family of saltwater bivalve mollusks. Compared to other related species, their shells are rough and abnormally shaped. Oysters are known for producing pearls made of crystallized calcium carbonate. Oyster meat is salty and sweet, with a bit of a metallic taste depending on the location in which they were caught. Oysters are commonly eaten raw or char-broiled, with lemon and sauces to add to or mask the taste. Our oysters are sold live or frozen and pre-shucked, with live being more popular.
